Sydney International Student Summit 2026 Recap

A strong start to the ISS 2026 series

The Sydney International Student Summit 2026 marked the first event in this year’s national series, bringing together international students, graduates, and temporary residents actively planning their next steps in Australia.

From the moment doors opened, the expo floor remained active, with attendees moving between booths, attending seminars, and engaging directly with organisations across study, career, and visa pathways.

A High-Intent Audience Throughout the Day

Sydney ISS attracted students who came with purpose. Many attendees arrived ready to:

  • Ask about PR pathways
  • Explore further study options
  • Speak with migration professionals
  • Understand employer-sponsored opportunities
  • Get advice on improving employability
  • Connect with organisations supporting international students

This created meaningful conversations rather than casual foot traffic.

Consistent Engagement on the Expo Floor

Exhibitors experienced steady movement across the event, with attendees actively comparing services and seeking clarity about their future in Australia.

Students spent time:

  • Speaking directly with exhibitors
  • Asking detailed visa and career questions
  • Booking consultations
  • Scanning QR codes for follow-ups
  • Exploring multiple organisations before deciding next steps

This allowed organisations to build trust and position themselves as the go-to choice.

Seminars That Drove Targeted Traffic

The seminar program played an important role in bringing engaged attendees into the event and encouraging follow-up conversations.

Sessions included:

  • Land a Professional Role with Visa Sponsorship
  • PR Pathways Seminar
  • Why International Students Struggle to Get Hired (and How to Fix It)
  • Employability and career guidance

Following each session, attendees returned to the expo floor to speak with relevant organisations, creating additional engagement opportunities.

Giveaways and On-Ground Activations

To maintain strong engagement throughout the day, the event included multiple activations. These created consistent movement across the expo floor and encouraged attendees to visit multiple exhibitors.
